So instead of doing homework last night, I tried to organize my earring box/drawer/pile. (You can tell it was in need of organization because I don't even know what to call it.)
But my project was less than successful. Here's why:
I have five (5) pairs of earrings. (I know. I've really expanded over the past year or so.)
There are two (2) earrings per traditional pair.
5x2=10. I know this because I confirmed it with a calculator.
Therefore, I should have ten (10) earrings.
I only have 6.
This math does NOT add up.
I suspect that the gnomes that usually steal my pens and socks are at it again and they've expanded their game to jewelry.
Dang gnomes.
