On Average, We're Pretty Crazy Around Here.

yay flannel.

Today I changed 3 times. None of these times did I find it appropriate to lose the flannel shirt.
This state is weird. I like Vermont.

and a bit of biting sarcasm for good measure.

Today I was in a Christian bookstore. My eyes fell on the cover of a book which informed me that, contrary to anything I may have assumed about Christianity, this was MY time. The smiling man on the cover promised that by reading the book, I would learn to find joy in MY life and achieve MY dreams. It turns out that the God of the universe DOES revolve around me after all!
Thank you, Joel Osteen, for clearing up this common misconception. I'm sure the spiritual lives of Christians everywhere will be bettered because of your tireless efforts to make us feel good about ourselves.

rather morbid.

Yesterday I was at the mausoleum with my family to visit my grandpa.
Several things struck me about this visit, not the least of which was the number of my friends' names I saw on the walls.
While I'm relatively sure that most of my friends haven't been buried since I saw them last week, it was a surreal experience.

Now what was that...

I had something really clever to post today.
I've just spent the last 4 minutes trying to remember what it was.
Coming up with nothing, I have decided to leave off trying to remember and move on with my life.
I apologize for any disappointment this might cause.

Christmas morning

Today my brother gave me a hat and a scarf for Christmas. They're both really sweet.
When my grandmother saw it, she was excited, saying that it was the only hat I had ever worn that she liked.

I don't know how to react to that.

Old Age

I was in a store yesterday watching a cute little two year old toddle around running between and into the clothing racks. Then a woman came up to me and asked if she was my only one.
This has never happened to me before.
I feel so old.

snow angels

Yesterday, I saw a car that was perfectly covered in snow.
Naturally, I face-planted on it and created a snow angel. I expect that person to be very confused. If only I could see his reaction. It's times like these that I wish I were omnipresent.
But regardless, I attempt to make everyone's day a little more surreal.
Mission accomplished.

My life is apparently not average enough.

My posts always get rejected by MLIA.
While I find this both ironic and insulting, I will not be deterred.

I have created my own blog on which I can post random happening of my days.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not so deluded as to think that anyone will actually care to read this. But I feel somehow vindicated by posting my life online. And if someone stumbles upon it, fine.

Here it begins.
